Falcon Contracting Ltd. and Falcon Camp Services Inc. are locally owned and operated companies based in Prince George, BC. The Falcon Group specializes in heavy civil construction, transloading, and turn-key camp & catering services across Western Canada.

We are currently seeking a knowledgeable, energetic, and driven Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our growing team. This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, overhaul, and repair of a wide variety of fleet vehicles and heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, maintain, modify, and commission fleet vehicles and equipment including electrical, wiring, hydraulic systems, tires, and gas/diesel engine diagnostics
  • Estimate repair times and material costs and requisition parts as required
  • Complete required paperwork including repair times and parts usage
  • Work collaboratively with co-workers and other departments
  • Perform all work in accordance with company safety procedures and Occupational Health & Safety regulations
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Work shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as required

Requirements

  • Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification required
  • 5+ years experience considered an asset
  • Strong technical knowledge and mechanical aptitude across various equipment types
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence required
  • Pre-employment Drug & Alcohol testing required
  • Camp experience considered an asset
  • OFA Level 1 and WHMIS certifications considered assets
  • Strong work ethic with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Physically capable of pushing, pulling, dragging, and lifting up to 50 lbs
